New output:

The successful establishment of VNT to PRRSV on Marc 145 cells. VNT estabilished in this project is very useful tool for studies of neutralizing immune-response of PRRV

This is the first time in Vietnam, we applied successfully baculovirus expression system to produce recombinant GP5 protein of PRRSV isolated in Vietnam. The recombinant GP5 protein produced by baculovirus expression system possessed immunological properties, induced the neutralizing antibodies at 42 days after immunization and it is potential candidate for production of recombinant vaccine against PRRSV in Vietnam

This is the first time that the results obtained from the thesis provided a good evidence for cytokine application such as interferon alpha to enhance neutralizing immuno- response in pigs immunized by recombinant protein antigen. Additionally, the thesis also provided a scientific evidence as well as new strategy for improvement of recombinant vaccines against PRRS in Vietnam in future.
